Just wondering

… why 4th position seems to be woefully neglected in the Suzuki Violin Books…  Not shifting to 4th – remaining in 4th.  I think we’ll just use the Book 5 page 3 Tonalization without fingerings for that purpose.

unusual idea

Since the SAA asks for a performance of either the Mozart D Major or the Mozart A Major, I have an crazy idea.  I’m thinking of writing to the SAA and asking if I can  play Mozart D Major up to the Cadenza….  and then play a separate performance of the Mozart A Major Cadenza.  [...]

Wow.  I just got the brochure for ISSI
in the mail.  It’s a glossy full brochure including large photos of people
that I took last year!  Yes they pay me for the photos (it all falls
under the heading of “Newletter Reporter”) but holy criminey, I’m not a
“photographer”… by any stretch…  yet I feel all happy to see [...]

Suzuki Graduation Concert January 18, 2007

Our Graduation Concert was a huge success last night! I’m all warm and excited by how well it went.
This is a shikishi painted by Dr. Suzuki that we had presented to the students on their graduation Certificate. It means, “When Love is Deep , Much Can be Accomplished”.
