Blogging blogging everywhere and not a thought to link.

I’ve redone the layout of another site of mine but daresn’t link yet until I get the OK from the site I “borrowed” the design from… It isn’t an elaborate design, but she might have qualms. I’ve written her email.  And I did change it quite a bit.

My students come in 30 minutes. I’m prepared.

Mr. Bear has gone fishing and will be back a bit before my show starts.

I’ve added an entry to the Art Bridge.

I’m not feeling very in tune today.

Second thoughts

Well, I’m convinced.  None of my students will be on any reality shows.  Bad idea.

I was blinded by the whole greed and fame thing.  Duh!  Got to watch out for that.  Be vigilant.  Suzuki Sensei always just disappeared around that sort of thing.  People coming around trying to sell his name or his ideas…  Poof, he simply was not to be found.  But he would laugh first, then go into his office… then, nobody would know where he went.

As Rickie Lee Jones said, “There’s no such thing as Easy Money”.

I feel better now, I’m listening to Fiona Apple singing “Extraordinary Machine” which would cheer up anyone.

Anyone have some happy news?

Lucy has her own blog now. It is Go ahead and visit!

Second, I received an email yesterday eveing from the Casting Producer with ABC Television. She is very interested in contacting Suzuki Method families for an upcoming episode of “Wife Swapping”. If you haven’t seen the show, two moms from two very different families get the opportunity to swap lives for a week to experience what it’s like to live a different lifestyle – and to see what they can teach each other abouttheir own.

The whole idea of a mom who knows nothing about Suzuki Method having to practice every day with the children, go to lessons and group classes, listen to the CD’s every night and do the whole Suzuki way of life is a good one. I’m excited to be a part of it!

This is no joke. I have already contacted one of my families and they are interested so I gave their contact information to Heather, the Casting Producer. (Yes, yes, we are on a first name basis now, as I breathe on my fingernails and polish them on my shirt)

I have called and left a message on one of my other student’s machine. I’m waiting to hear back.

Families get $20,000 for participating. If any of my other students are interested, you should contact me by leaving a message or emailing or calling me right away.

Edited to add: Well, I just got word from a friend that this is a very vicious show! I was told to “run away”! I am concerned! I don’t want to get my students involved in something that will be damaging to them! The episode that I watched didn’t seem that bad. I thought it just showed an interesting contrast between to different life styles. What’s the general consensus out there… has anyone else seen the show? What do you think?
